CAN I ALTER THE DRESS?

New or used, it is totally normal & expected for a gown to need some alterations to make it fit just right! We offer minor alterations to wedding dresses rented for wedding day. However, for photoshoots we do not allow alterations.

HOW DO I KNOW THAT A USED DRESS WILL LOOK HOW IT SAYS IT WILL?

First, be sure to closely inspect all of the photos & the description provided in our website. All preowned gowns are received and inspected by LAMIIK BRIDAL's authentication team. If the gown does not pass our inspection team's review for quality control, we will not showcase the dress in our boutique.

DO I NEED TO CLEAN A USED DRESS OR IS IT ALREADY PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED? 

All of our dresses are professionally cleaned before they are being displayed in our boutique. The pricing of the dress and description generally reflects the quality of the dress.

WHAT IS YOUR GUARANTEE?

We guarantee authenticity, safety and security. We thoroughly inspect every dress, every time. We curate and authenticate every gown rented, inspecting it before we rent it to you for your special day. Our guarantee is about quality and safety for all of our customers.

HOW DO I MEASURE MYSELF FOR A DRESS?

You can always come to our boutique to try on the dresses to know which style and model suits you best! If you are out of town, all you'll need is a measuring tape, a friend & you can chat with us through email describing your size and we will recommend which dress will suit you best! 

IS IT RISKY TO RENT A USED WEDDING DRESS?

Not when you rent at Lamiik Bridal! We take all of the risk out of the process. Every dress on our site is curated by LAMIIK BRIDAL's staff. Every dress is backed by our authenticity and quality guarantee.

HOW DO I RENT MY DRESSES AT LAMIIK BRIDAL?

Send us pictures of the dress you want to consign at LAMIIK BRIDAL. Our staff will curate if your dress is suitable at our boutique and once your dress is accepted we will email you with the agreed price from our consigning team. You don’t have to lift a finger, or answer an email, until your dress is rented. Once your dress is rented, you’ll receive a notification from us. We coordinate all details with the buyer, including payment, insurance, shipping and returns, and any questions they have. Once the dress is rented, we will send you payment via BCA bank transfer for 60% of the agreed price on the dress.

DO I NEED TO CLEAN MY DRESS BEFORE I RENT IT?

Dresses that have been professionally cleaned rent up to twice faster and with lower risk of discolouration than dresses that have not been cleaned, so we strongly suggest having your gown cleaned after you use it. Once the dress is professionally cleaned you can drop your dress at our boutique for consignment.

I JUST EMAILED PICTURES OF MY DRESS TO RENT, NOW WHAT?

Your dress will be reviewed by our quality control team within 24-48 hours. Once approved, we will notify you via email that your dress has been accepted. Once your dress is accepted, we will send you a quotation on the price of the dress per rental. Once you agreed with the price, you can send your dress to our Boutique. Our team will work hard on renting your dress and you won’t need to do anything but relax and wait until we contact you when the gown is rented.

WHAT PERCENTAGE OF DRESSES RENTS?

Most dresses that are priced competitively (at least 50% off retail price) rents within six months, depending on the type and model of dress. However there is no guarantee that your dress will be rented within a six months period.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE FOR A DRESS TO RENT?

Renting time varies and depends on a lot of factors including designer, season, style, size, etc. The process can take anywhere from just a few weeks to a year. Set your renting price competitively and have the dress professionally cleaned and your dress will have a higher likelihood of renting quickly.

WILL I NEED TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM RENTERS?

No! We handle all questions, inquiries and customer service, so you can sit back and relax until you hear from us that we have found a serious customer!

HOW IS MY DRESSES PROTECTED?

LAMIIK BRIDAL takes serious responsibility for the safety of your gown when in our possession or in possession of customer. We store returned gowns safely and securely in our Boutique.

We ensure that owners discretion and your dress is confidential and we save you the time commitment in answering the deluge of questions from potential customers. Your wedding dress is an expensive and very special item, and it takes special care to rent it. Our policies and experience are superior, so we attract a much larger and more serious group of potential customers, on top of the convenience and security that we offer both between our customers and you! We strive to create a luxury experience and attract customers  that wouldn't have otherwise considered renting a used gown.
